Documents emerging technologies for water resource management, including usage, conservation, and concepts of urban water reuse including decentralized wastewater treatment systems and integrated water resources management (IWRM).
Demonstrate proficiency in tools and technology required to carry out water resource management programs successfully
Researches best practices on water resource management design and challenges
Coordinates water resource management programs
Coordinate methods to prevent, identify, and/or respond to water loss or sewage overflow, including leak detection, monitoring, or surveys at the plant and in the collection or distribution system.
Formulate recommendations from best practices and industry associations
Coordinate with various stakeholder and regulatory agencies to design, implement measures for water conservation
Supports the development of institutional tools such as legal and regulatory frameworks, water pricing, and incentives to better allocate, regulate, and conserve water resources
Prepares collateral to address the needs of stakeholders through education campaigns, facilitating dialogue etc.
Supports the design of water resource management programmes with the inclusion of the latest technology and tools
Designs and implements water resource management programs
Presents an institutional framework for the design of water resource management policies, strategies and legislation,
Develops and implements water efficiency and conservation techniques for enhanced water storage, including aquifer recharge and recovery
Disseminates research finding to promote better efficient water use
Leads inter-ministerial coordination and facilitate knowledge sharing on water conservation methods
Disseminate research finding to promote afforestation and eco-development with the assistance of voluntary agencies, non-government organisations, Panchayati Raj institutions and others and promote participatory and sustainable management of degradation of ecosystems
